Which Wii mod chip do I use?

I have been looking at all the different Wii mod chips out there. I ran my serial through wiitracker and it says I have a 50% chance that I have a D2C drive chip. If there is another way to find out what drive chip you have, I would love to try it.

Basically, I want a mod chip that will work with every Wii. Are the most recent chips backwards compatible? Thanks guys.

the d2pro is compatible with all the wii models...you could also open the wii and look on the dvd drive to see what wii you have...

I would open it up and find out which it is using a tri-wing screw drive. The D2pro works with all chips, but if you plan to get the wiiclip presoldered then you have to check too see which chipset you have because number of Solderings of the chip to the clip depends on which chipset you have.
