Hi dudes!

I have a little problem...

I´m using BenQ LCD -monitor (PC) with resolution of 1920*1200 and I want to play Call of Duty 4 with FullHD resolution (1080p).

So far the problem is: when I turn 1920*1080 resolution on from the control panel of xbox 360, it doesn´t use it. It gives me some crappy streched resolution and my monitor doesn´t give me a possibility to use 1:1 pixel mapping (1:1 pixel mapping because resolution of the monitor is greater in height so I need those black bars in top and bottom).

What should I do?

I´m using a "normal" vga-cabel. I think I should buy VGA HD AV cable to get it work, am I right? A cabel with 1080p resolution support.

As far as i know 1080P can only be used in widescreen mode, sorry.

And you are correct that a VGA cable can not output in the 1920x1080 (1080P) format at all, here is a few good articles to read.

You want true 1080P then i am pretty sure it requires you to have the HDMI output.

I got a HDMI to DMI cable from Mono price.com, $5, and most i can get for my samsung Monitor is like 1600/1024. Its a slight better difference then with VGA cable, but u will notice the difference.
HEres a resolution link that explains diff. But definetly $5 for the HDMI/DMI plug way worth it, compared to 20 /$40 plug.

Oh and a side note, your 360 shoul dread avaialbe screen resolution once connected. If your Monitor can not handle 1920*1200 which it most likely wont cause very RARE do PC monitors can go that max resolution, chances are the VGA only lets u go to my specs 1600 1024. It is eitehr teh Monitor, if not then its the connection.
