OK so i already have the cable to hookup my hard drive to the 360 but when i do that it wont show up at all and wont allow me to format it

i wanna replace my 20gb with an 80GB hd google hasn't really helped me so don't tell me to google it

I might be wrong on this but I'm pretty sure that if you swap out your 20gb hdd with the 80gb one the 360 will only see 20gb. The way I understand how the hdd upgrade works is that you have to have a 120gb hdd and copy the image to another 120gb hdd or you have to d/l someone else's 120gb image and use it on the non-360-retail hdd.

So I would kinda assume that you would need to get a copy of a 360-60gb hdd and use it on your 80gb to make the most use of it.

Hopefully someone who has done this and not just read about like myself can explain it better although you should have you hand slapped for doubting the power of google.

i dont doubt the power of google ive searched on it before didnt get what i wanted so i posted here and i sometimes get tired of people telling me to google when i already have
