Ok I heard the 360 Power Supply has Multi Protection but is it ok to have your 360,PS3,Wii All hooked up to a Surge Protection Alone. Because your only playing 1 game at a time.

'Monster Cable PS600 PS2 PowerCenter with 555-Joule Surge Protection'

I ALWAYS run my electronics through a surge protector. Everything in my entertainment center (including my 360) runs through this:

I bought the AC Filtering (clean power) model as it can help give you better TV clarity.

lol yea there is a rumor that you cant hook up your 360 to a surge protector because it has built in surge protection and will back fire lol. i agree with you steimy, i would never have anything hooked up without surge protection.

Before you go getting excited over buying a so called "surge protector" of any sort you need to find out if the one your buying actually does as it shouild, not all products are created equeal,if you have a consumer testing company in your country, check their website for which performed the best,or ask an insurace company, if that don't work do some homework on the net ,also the one in your link is a discontinued product.(topic starters link that is)

Most of the surge protectors these days have phone sockets on them for surge protection,it's not really a gaming protection as such than it is for any phones, faxes etc that are connected to the phone line,it's just the ad men doing their job..lol..

Just do some shopping around. For example here is the same one you listed in your link (which shows a price of $199.00) for $87
http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-HTPOWER...8&s=electronics

Even though Monster products tend to be a bit over priced i have had nothing but good quality when i buy them. From what i have read Furman is one of the top brands used by professionals in the audio business so you may also want to look into those.

yeah, good luck.

Like i said above. EVERY piece of electronic equipment that i care anything about goes through a surge protector. And when you plug your TV into the AC filtering unit you will get the best picture available. Not to mention that a leading cause of rear projection TV bulb failures are due to power surges in your electrical system caused by things like refrigerators and air conditioners (and most things which have compressors)

So does this trip powerbar that spawn chose have the AC filtering built in, or is that a seperate componant you have to buy? The review doesn't specifically use the "AC filter" term. It says it has "isolated filter banks" but that could be something else for all I know. :-P Thanks!

"Tripp Lite Isobar Home, Business Theater 10-Outlet Surge Suppressor
Tripp Lite?s HTPOWERBAR10 Isobar Home/Business Theater Surge Suppressor provides ultimate protection--5700 joules--stopping damaging surges and filtering disruptive line noise so components perform at their peak! You can see and hear the difference: sharper, crisper video; deeper, fuller audio and longer component life spans"

They do not use the word "AC Filtering" but line noise (some sites list this as EMI/RFI noise filters) would be a way of saying it where most people would understand it. And it is a good idea to also run your satalight/cable coax cables through it as well. Most of your higher end surge protectors will have that option.
