Hi all! I had a thought this morning when my mate asked me what "cpu speed" was. I thought that I could hex (yes, that again) 4.01 M33 so it could be more noob/dumbsh*t friendly. I won't release it as "my" firmware but just maybe put my name in the credits. Could I release this?

No. Anyone who doesn't know shouldn't have cfw anyway.

Not to mention HEXing would corrupt the number of letters, and come out as a mindlessly random jumble.

actually, you can, E.G: cpu speed = 9 characters.(including space). if I replaced it with a strand of 9 characters then it would be fine. trust me, i have done it.
