Hi and a good day to everyone,
After browsing this forum, and using the search function for help, I am at a standstill. I have WMV files sent to me that I wish to play with Quicktime. Unfortunately, they must be converted to something QT will understand. SO, I started with a 'forum mentioned' program: Stoik VC. However, I have tried several conversion formats but QT will only play the audio. Before trying every possible combination of codecs and settings I thought that I would ask here first. Eventually I wish to convert all of them to MPEG2 so as to share with my friends on MS and Linux.
Any help or suggestions would most certainly be appreciated and I hope I have posted in the appropriate forum.
Thanking you in advance,
F.

Thanks for the response. However, after checking out Procoder, I think I'll pass on the price. I just don't have that kind of dinero. Free to $29.95 I can afford. Maybe someone else can help. The problem with Stoik is that it converts only the audio. Well, I'll try installing all the codecs and come back if I'm still having a problem. Thanks

Well, I am not sure. I use quicktime because it is the standard player for apple quictime QTVR which I am making and using now. It also displays AVI and MPEG. I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the subject!! Thanks for the comment!
