Hi, i'm a bit new here and was wondering if someone could help me out with a problem.

here's the problem, i have 20gb 360 hdd which has gone currupt, when the 360 has it plugged in, the screen just sticks on the opening screen but somtimes comes on but it always fails a refomat and it wont save games nor load them is there a possible fix for this?

such as hook it up to pc and reformat with some software?

You did not say if it was under warranty still so you have three options.

1) Still under factory warranty - call MS which will tell you to mail it and they'll mail you a new one for free. You only pay to ship yours back.

2) You bought a store warranty like Best Buy - call the store.

3) No warranty - buy a new one.

Quite frankly if it can't be formatted on the 360 then I don't see what a PC could do to it. And going thru all that trouble isn't worth it.

actually you can format from the dashboard. and you can hook it up to a pc. and if doing that saves you a 100$ sure it is worth the trouble. different ppl have different preferences, if it was me i would not give up until i got it working or salvaged another one to make it work. 100$ isnt chump change for some of us.

ok ty for the replies i really dont wanna buy a new one, im a bit skint these days and sorry no warranty is on it.

is there any decent guides on hooking it up to a pc?
