creating partition, flashing benq drive

I'm creating a partition to flash my benq drive since i think my computer can't boot from a usb drive. I'm using partition magic and want to know how big i should make the new partition and if i should make it logical or primary.

I already made one that 7.4 mb and is logical, will this work?

not sure if thats big enough, most people that use the usb method use at least a 512 mb stick.

well my computer crashed(dont ask how) but i made a primary partition thats almost 2 GB, so hopefully that will cover it.
now time to reinstall some stuff...
