I recently rebooted my windows xp. Everything is working nicely except for one thing, each time I restart the computer, or each time the computer tries to use open the program VIA RAid Tool, this pops up on screen:
Init Failed
!!!Initialization failed, possible reasons:
1> RAID driver NOT loaded.
2> No disk attached on RAID card.
3> There is no usable disk array and no stand-alone disk is attached on the RAID controller(please reboot and use BIOS to repair broken disk arrays)
I Have no idea how to solve this problem neither do i know what this program is for. Please help me asap thx:)[b]
Since you say your a newbie, I will assume you are.
Your Motherboard probably has a raid controller on board, and at some point it has been enabled. If you are not using the raid feature, you can disable it in the BIOS. If you are using the raid controller as just another IDE controller, you need to enter the raid software on boot up, and remove the raid setting. either way should take care of the error.
BUT, if you HAVE set up the raid be very careful about this as all data on the raid will be lost and un-recoverable.
