Hey folks,
Can you just apply official fw over the top of cf.

I'm just about to hunt the forum for an answer but as my mate is sending a slim back to sony for repair on monday I thought I might get an answer quicker this way.

you might be able to if you connect to the internet via wireless and update the firmware...

Depends on what custom firmware your on. Some block the official firmware from being installed and some do not.

If you try running the Official Firmware and it is blocked then use this guide HERE to create the Magic memory Stick + Pandora Battery. Now all you need to do is select the 3.71 Official Firmware in the Pandora Menu which will then flash the Official firmware to the PSP (Do not choose 3.71 M33 in the list).

Keep in mind if you do it via Pandora Battery you will need to use a diffrent Battery other then the 1 used in the PSP. Becuase once you flash the PSP to Offical Firmware then you no longer can use the PSP to convert the Battery back to normal.
