Is there any possible way? I have tried the most basic method which is to just recreate another ISO with the backed up PS2 game, but after you burn it, it just plain doesn't work.

You just use ImgBurn to create the .iso, then use ImgBurn again to burn the .iso.

Isn't ImgBurn the same thing as DVD Decrypter? If so, I used that, and it didn't work. Like, the image gets created properly, but after you burn it, it just doesn't work. Never loads.
I also tried Alcohol 120%, but it failed even worse. When it was creating the image, it kept giving Disk Errors. I canceled the process because I knew it wouldn't work.
Are you absolutely certain that ImgBurn will work? If so, I'm willing to waste another DVD to test. Like, have you tried it yourself, backing up an already backed up PS2 game?

Yes I have backed up PS2, Wii, and 360 games using ImgBurn. Always works unless the disc is bad quality or scratched up.
What brand of discs are you using? Make sure to burn at 4X for single layer games, and 2.4X for dual-layer games.

Your not reading my thread carefully. It doesn't say just backing up a PS2 game, it says backing up a PS2 BACKUP. Not the original game, a backup of the original game.
Basically: Backup a PS2 Game, then Backup THAT Backup. Not the game.
And I'm using DUO3 Ultra, if anybody is wondering.

First of all, my media is Taiyo Yuden, which is the best media on the planet, second, I always burn at 2x, even if it's games or not, and third, the ISO could not possibly be broken, unless of course it gets corrupted when you burn an ISO onto a disk, then copy that disk. I'm not going to give up this easily just yet. I know there's probably a possible way.

You mean a 1:1 copy? Would that even work? Because usually, 1:1 copy programs still make an image then burn that image.

I probably can't do it with your method on Nero, because I don't have two Disk Drives. I'm on a laptop, which only has one.
Yes, the original backup still works, just, it's starting to get worse and worse when it comes to loading up the game.

try burning a little faster or 1/2 the max burn speed and see what happens.. I've always had issues with 2x burning for some reason...

Then perhaps that's the reason, you're re-creating errors & burning them,do a rip & check the read error retries when it's finished & see what that shows,if you have a RW type dvd try that with a copy using nero tho i'm not sure if the Ultra's can read RW media, imgburn should be more than capable so chances are nero won't fair much better, best bet hire the game you know the rest *winks*
EDIT:Disclaimer it's not me giving piracy instructions my accounts been hacked, well that's my story & i'm stick'n to it

If I use Alcohol 120% to check the number of Disk Read Errors on the disk, it would go nonstop for every single backup disk on the universe. That's why I'm trying to search for a method that MAY work.
I didn't think any Modchip could read DVD-RWs.
These days, renting games are download expensive. All the stores near me jack up the prices so high for rentals, that you could even BUY the game at some pirate PS2 game store in some mall somewhere.

I had two PS2's mod chipped last year at different times, both were supposed to have the ultra chip like yours, however due to whatever reason (both ps2's were new)there was a balls up with one of em,so the guy gave me an older premodded mobo (from a silver slimline) but with an older chip(i'd have to pull the ps2 apart to find out what make it is),anyway it can read rw's no prob but can't play movies either backups or the original, other than that it works as it should.

Okay well, that still doesn't answer my main question. Does anybody know if there is a way to backup a backup?

You back it up the same way as an original. Create an image of it and burn it, like everyone has said. There is no secret to it. If it's not working, your disc may be too damaged to create a good image from it.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

Yeah, but I tried another disk without any scratches or anything, pretty mint, and it still failed. Just doesn't load in the PS2.

Well its either the burn speed your using as 2x is way too slow.
Should be 4x and up to half the speed of your disks.
Are your Taiyo Yuden +R or -R, if they are +R make sure to set BOOKTYPE to DVD-ROM
I would start to wonder if your laser is the problem then if they aren't working.

Does an original PS2 disk work or does it still play movie backups ? if so then lasers fine.
If not then it's either laser or the one of the chips, either the Original PS2 chip has packed a sad or the modchip has,try this, they're instructions to apparently turn off the modchip duo ultra, then try an original disk if it works modchip is shot or a wire has come off or is cold soldered & needs to be reheated and
reflowed
Disable Mode
- Hold the START button on joypad 1 until "DISABLED" appears on the TV.
- press RESET button and the chip will remain in disable mode until the PS2 is power down again.
