Help on what cables i need for the Starview 3?

Right sorry if am not very bright hear,ive just got my Starview The Box Super,and i understand how i need to flash it,but i cant find the correct cables i need as ive been to maplins today and bought a usb to 9pin(male) but the male 9pin end dont fit in the box as its also a male,so i went back and swopped it for a normal 9pin male to female serial lead and then got home to discover that the female end of the serial cable fits into the male 9pin on the box but the male wont fit into the serial port on my laptop as its got 15pin serial port???????CONFUSED IS THE WORD!


Any help on this would be great please??

Ha thank you ive just read another thread and the penny dropped and thourt i had to use the 2 cables on there own not join them up!!
That is correct isnt it??

If your Pc/laptop does not have a serial port, you`ll need a USB to serial port adaptor, to use in conjunction with your Null Modem Cable. All the info is in the link i gave you.
