Shrink saves iso files to a folder of my choice. But, when I ask it to burn a disk, from that saved ISO file. it puts AUDIO, VIDEO_TS files on the disk. Which, I guess, is alright; they seem to play in my stand alone/entertainment center. Trouble is, I can't seem to figure how to play them on my computer.
And, also, the title does not appear in my menu, the way a disk burned with iso does, rather the generic "DVD/RAM Drive."
My question is two fold: 1) how can I play this disk on my computer? And 2)Is it possible to burn ISO files with shrink?
If my question is ignorant, forgive me, in my newbie state, that's pretty much what it feels like.
FYI, an ISO is simply a container...it contains whatever you put into it. In this case you are using it for video files which the correct structure is VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS. This keeps everything nice and neat, but really is no different from the proper format which most all standalone players will recognize.
So I guess the volume label is a function of the container, is that correct? And, I guess, I understand that if I wanted to preserve the volume label, I could have chosen to burn the iso with decrypter.
Is there a way to configure Nero to burn with the iso container intact?
The natural course for a backup would be VIDEO_TS, when you make an ISO you are doing something extra. You can choose "iso image file and burn with DVD Decrypter" from the target drop down menu and your backup will be an ISO burned with DVD Decrypter.
I fixed your img tags as they were wrong, but they don't appear to link to an image.
EDIT: I didn't really answer your question did I? Yes if you choose to backup to an ISO the volume label should remain intact.
