Please can anyone help with regard to the following:
I have used IfoEdit ,Vobedit and an Mpeg decoder in order for me to do some editing. What I don't understand is... how do I go about either creating new chapters or editing the old ones using the above software? I used the guide from this site called "DVD Authoring in IfoEdit", went through all the steps but dunno how to answer my question. Thanks

I need help with the same problem. I don't want to recreate chapters or subtitles. I want to edit a movie and retain the original extras as much as possible. Is there a relatively painless way to do this? Do I need to become educated with IFO edit?

I can tell you what doesn't work.

FIRST ATTEMPT:
Movie was decrypted with DVD Decrypter.
Main movie was in one VOB file.
VOB file was imported into MPEG Video Wizard (MVW)
Minor edits made (less than 1% had to be re-encoded)
New file (mpg) was substituted into origin VIDEO_TS
mpg extension was changed to VOB
DVD Shrink didn?t accept the fake extension and couldn't open the file

SECOND ATTEMPT:
Edited file (mpg) was converted to a legitimate VOB file using the option, Create DVD Folders in Ulead DVD Movie Factory.

The new VOB file was then substituted into the original VIDEO_TS folder, but again, DVD Shrink wouldn't accept it. Error message was that the handle was invalid. What handle? Huh?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

When you have a MPEG2 file thats somewhere near 4.36GB (or lower of course) then use TMPGEnc DVD Author.
