the only new thing i have installed recently is ie 8 ver2 beta....but I dont know how that could be related to clickin on the reauthor button in dvd shrink 3.2 while running xp vista with sp3. please advise.

Okay if anyone else runs into it. The problem was ie 8 beta 2 uninstalled it works fine now. sigh of relief.
