I have the ring of death on my 360. I wanted to know if the kits they sell on Ebay actually fix the problem? Sorry if asked a million times, I just want to know if there any recent updates on how to fix it.
Yes the kits do work, i have fixed about 5 360's with the kits i bought off of fleebay.. They consist of 8 12mm cheese head screws, 16 M5 nylon washers, 16 M5 steel washers, Artic silver thermal paste, Surface purifier, Q-tips, sometimes they even throw in a torx screwdriver all for 10 bucks or so.. I usually buy them in bulk because someone somewhere always has an Xbox 360 that needs repair, especially with all the RROD problems going around.. Good Luck with the fix, it's a pretty easy fix and it's cheaper then doing out of warranty repairs through Microsoft.
