I think Sony should completly redesign the system adding L2 and R2 buttons, another analog stick and making the umd hold more data, this way they can port over ps2 games. But sadly Sony only made minor changes, i mean wtf a brighter screen and a microphone and a ps button. I think Sony is pulling shit.

....Okay. How do you suggest they do this without a complete hardware upgrade? Why would you upgrade the hardware, when just releasing the same thing over and over again will net you the same amount of sales, with less production costs? Face it, it's good business. It's a bitch, but that's the way it goes.
