Anyone use disk covers (sticker) for your back ups?

I was thinking about sticking those CD Covers onto my 360 backups and wasn't sure if it would affect the playback of the discs. I know it's not recommended for DVD backups so I wasn't sure it it's ok for 360 games or not.

I thought the whole point of them being back ups was you aren't supposed to have to worry about them getting scratched.

I wouldn't recommend using disc cover stickers they seem to wear out after awhile and bubble up etc...If you plan on putting design on your discs your best bet is to use thermal ink and get the printable media that can be used for thermal.It cost more to create designs on discs,but it will get the job done and the outcome will be perfect.The problem is after awhile the discs start to get off balance and have problems reading if you use disc cover stickers.Heat doesn't work to well with stickers and causes more problems than its worth.If you want a cheap way just write on the discs with a sharpie marker that is what I do and probably the majority of everybody else.I have used disc cover stickers before and the media doesn't last long.

Thanks for the info.
I helped out a guy with his RROD 360. He had it flashed over in the Middle East and he was showing me his "backups" from over there and they were beautiful. They had disk cover labels and box graphics that came with them, etc. It inspired me to want to make my backups look like that but if it's only going to cause headaches I'd rather stick with the sharpie.

I kind of read the question wrong, but I never think labels are a good ideas. There's always the change of the peeling.

I have made a few disk with labels and it does just what they said above.The label will start to peel up, then all of a sudden you will here some messed up noises comeing from your box and you will eject, in the label is up.So now I just go to wally World and buy those nice Black Plastic Dvd Cases and make cover labels.

Well there is a better way which is getting a disc label printer,but like I said they aren't cheap.The ink cartridges alone are little over $30 and are specifically designed for printable media.The actual disc label printers vary,but thermal inkjet disc label printers can run up to hundreds or even throusands of dollars.I've seen a couple browsing around wasting time when I occasionally have it.I've ran across a few,but then again I don't really think it would be worth it for personal use unless its for a business or something like that.I think the Dymo DiscPainter is one of the disc label printers I've seen that may be able to produce professional results at a reasonable price.It would probably be worth it if you would like to make designs on your discs instead of using a sharpie,but I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from the cd/dvd disc label stickers they will literally produce awful results.

check out an epson r340 it has disc printing capability, does a great job and i picked mine up two years ago for just 300$ so i would assume they are much cheaper by now. also if you do invest in one, what l-burna said was true if you use generic ink it will be a waste of money, the same as buying something other than verbs to backup (typically speaking). luckily the ink for the r340 is 12.99 at many big box electronics stores. there is one on ebay for 150$ buy it now, also one in acution for only 23$ with one hour left. great product for a professional look, for a good price. however i only make the box art, because printable media is typically higher. everynow and then i will make a good looking cd. if you are interested i can post some pics of the job it does. hope this helps.
