Hi, im running vista ultimate 32-bit and have run into an issue where when i open the recycle bin, i am unable to use the button which says "empty recycle bin". whilst i can still close the window and right click the icon on my desktop to empty it, its quite annoying as i often have to open it first to see whats inside and then close it to empty it. WHen i click on the button, nothing happens. Its not really a serious problem (i hope) but just rather annoying. I had this issue on my old comp aswell.

System:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ ~ 3.0GHz
4GB Corasair DDR2-800
ASUS P5-Q (iP45 Chipset)
Ati Powercolor HD4850 512MB
Seasonic S12 II 500w PSU

Try to scan for virus's and empty your temp files. You could also delete your recycle bin system files and let windows recreate it but thats somewhere in the system files on the C: root.

c:\users\local settings\temp

something like that I'm guessing. Also try C:\Windows\Temp.

Thats what Kaspersky and then later ESET both seemed to agree on.

Try a system restore to before the problem started. You may also want to run a Checkdisk on your hard drive. If you have an XP boot CD then it's chkdsk /r.

No documents will be lost but I believe programs could be lost. It is reversible though.
You could also try a chkdsk /r with an XP boot floppy or CD.
