PSP connetivity with Netgear WNR834B ver. 2

Does someone has been able to connect their PSP with such router model?
I have been trying different security settings,encryption,channels and nothing seems to work.The signal strength is 100%,the SSID is there,the WPA key is type correctly,but when it test the connettion.It fails.
can some one help my,What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance for all the help!
PSP is the 2000 series and the router is updated with the newest version.

have you tryed reseting your psp's settings? amd what error does it fail with?

After days of frustration and leave the matter alone for a couple of days I got it to work.What made it work?. Seriously I don't know.What I could say is that a play with the settings in different transfer rate as well as channels.PSP won't accept the no security settings!.As a consumer you should have that choice and Sony is dictating you what to do or choose.The Key was within the parameters and after I change some characters it work,so that could be it.Thank you for the help in this tread and I'll be posting more info as soon is available.
