Newbie alert.

I've recently installed CFW on my fat PSP.
I've since bought a nice big 16Gb memory stick and it only allows me to put a few backups on it.

I did some searching and the general opinion seems to indicate that it only works if the MS is genuine. Looking at the information of my stick, it seems it's fake - shame, the price I paid was good, but not THAT good.

Anyhow, I guess there's no way around this... but I'm curious. I dont really understand this.
(a) the stick seems to perform ok. I can put 16gb of files onto it, and then read them back off with no apparent corruption.
(b) the first couple of backups I put on (both iso and cso) seem to work. Perhaps 3 or 4. But the rest dont appear. If I reformat and put them on in a different order, I get a different set of games.

Does anyone understand why it *has* to be genuine, despite the card working ok? Is it all down to speed?

Thanks, Imodude.
