if i back up my original copy of god of war 2 which is a dvd 9 i know my ps2 wont play it but if i patch it with toxic dual layer will this allow my ps2 to play it

Then I'm pretty sure it won't work (cause it works for chips that don't run off the Toxic OS). Why not just rebuild it so that it is a DVD5?
