none are needed. you only need onboard sound, unless you are getting a sound card. optical and coaxial are digital sound connections.

The only bad reviews about the latter board are that their RAM didn't work (WTF) and that a big graphics card doesn't fit snugly - and that doesn't make any difference because you can screw it down and it will still work perfectly, it's what I have to do with my 4870X2.
Most newegg reviewers are morons.

Yeah I agree. A lot of Neweggers are stupid gits.
And on the boards. I'd have to go with the cheaper one unless you plan Crossfire. And even then it would only be useful for like HD3850s because after that the 8x PCI-E slot will bottleneck you.
And it doesn't matter what speed of DDR2 you use AFAIK. You could use DDR2-800 or DDR2-1333 and get roughly the same outcome. Faster RAM is usually only for overclocking to higher speeds as it won't really affect your performance stock. Thus my willingness to go DDR2-800 to have such low timings instead of fast RAM. I can take this stuff to 1066 pretty easily if I raise my timings but then that cancels out why I bought the expensive stuff to begin with XD.

Oh yea but what I look at is at least 80% of 5 star. So It probably would fit graphics card at most chance and ram probably would work at most chance. They're one of the best over clockers for the price like lots of bios settings someone told me that and their very reliable. peace.

"At most chance?" That doesn't mean anything. I'm guessing english isn't your first language, in which case my apologies for sounding rude.

Neither. It has no meaning or relevance in that sentence. "The ram would probably work" is all you need.

Are you sure they are plugged in correctly? Did you mess with any other cables?

I think they're plugged in correctly, should I just mess around with them until the cd drives show up?
