Problem with mkv playback

After I use either tsmuxer or mkv2vob to enable playback of my mkv files on my ps3, they video is great and most of the audio is, however, the playback is very choppy. I'm using both WMP11 and Tversity to stream and the playback is choppy at the same points each and every time. I've tried 2 videos now and they both do the same. What could be the issue here and also, is it better to burn those files rather than stream them?

Well, it might be a streaming issue and your internet connection...bitrate and all. You should only use one media server at a time and I recommend TVersity. If the mkv is not in m2ts form it will not play in your PS3 I think. Change it to m2ts using tsMuxer or mkv2vob and then after it's done change the extension of the movie to .m2t with out the "s". It should work fine then. Good luck!

That's exactly what I'm doing. It does work, the playback is just super choppy. I was looking at my connection being the issue, however, I've been streaming content for quite some time and never had an issue like this. I'm converting the mkv file to an avchd disk to see if they are just bad rips.

It could be that your connection can't handle the video bitrate and stuff. Just throwin' it out there.

Yup, was thinking that myself. Which connection is that Dependant on? Would that be my internal network connection or my net connection?
