Using the Xbox 360 BenQ drive for reads?

Hello, I am new and I thank you all for allowing me into your community! I have read serveral threads as a guest and recently have become a registered user. Xbox modding is new to me but I do have some computing expericence in both software and hardware. That being said I have a couple of questions that I cannot seem to find answers for.
Q1: If I have to flash the Benq drive within the xbox 360 with an appropriate firmware via SATA then my pc must be able to clearly "see" the drive. "Why cant' I use the 360 drive attached to my pc for the raw dumps or reads? Instead of a kreon flashed drive in the pc"

Q2: I understand the purpose of flashing the drive within the xbox to allow it read the back-up games burned onto DL-DVD's. Is this specifically because the DL-DVD's are physically different than what M$ burns the games on? If so what exactly do they burn the games on and why can't we just burn our copies onto those?"

A1:It depends on what your doing if your trying to use the firmware hack on your Xbox 360 you have to flash the firmware of the Xbox 360 drive.If your trying to read Xbox 360 games you need the kreon firmware as it was specifically made to read the hidden sectors off games.You can currently use any type of Samsung Xbox 360 drive,and Benq drives as well to read your backups.The catch is they need a certain firmware on them in order to make them read Xbox 360 games.The hacked firmware such as Ixtreme doesn't have the ability to open the drive up to read the hidden sectors so you have to use the modified firmware that was made by Kreon.

A2:Yes they are physically different M$ uses a press machine to create games on disc.The burners that are available to the public can't produce the same result as a press machine,its not only hardware that is an issue but the firmware that is supplied on every drive available.If companies supplied firmware that could produce the games without a press machine they would get sued for copywrite infringements for using an illegal read/burn structure.I'm not saying it can't be done,but its illegal and the chances of that happening are slim to none.Its been done before on different game systems,but it can't be released to the public because its illegal and whoever creates it can be sued millions of dollars by a major coporation like M$.
