Why do TWO titles appear

I recorded a movie from my television. just ONE movie. And everytime I put it in the computer and open up dvd shrink: "title 1" AND "title 3" appear. They are both the same movie, same length of time, but I only recorded and finalized ONE thing.... why is that??

Nope, it isn't different angles...
I use a cheap magnavox dvd recorder to record things and am astounded that no one has come across this phenomenon yet

It depends on the movie. You can have a title show many times. it's a poor attempt at having the ripping program thinking there is not enough room on the HDD or blank disc.

It's to do with the way the recorder makes menus.. the ripper is picking up the title included from the main menu, and as a standalone item.

What you are seeing is titleset1 which contains one item, title3... the film.

ifoedit will expose the actual structure so you can see what is happening.
