ok i am trying to split flv files without having to convert to another format and keeping the exact same quality so you don't end up with a file going from 30 meg to over 100.

anyone know of any apps that can do this? cheers ppl.

Check out FLV Extract:
http://moitah.net/

open the prog and drop the flv on the window.
It will extract the contents into the same folder as the source.

use avidemux, it will edit your flv without reencoding. The finished quality will be the same as the original.
