DVD+R 4x not working!!

I am running a brand new Gigabyte DVD Dual burner and I am trying to back-up my DVD movies. For some reason when burning the DVD's in nero I get 5 files inaccesible and the DVD+R will not read in any drive except the one it was burnt in.

If anyone can help I NEED IT, I already gone through about 20 DVD R's

I don't think you have to read about it, but common sense would tell you to use a REWRITABLE disc until you fix the problem, no???! If the DVD plays fine in your DVD burner, I suspect your DVD player might be picky about the media, or it might be one of those earlier models that can't play DVD+Rs.

DogBomb - Thanx for the tip... But I have 50 of these DVD+R's that I want to use and they aren't even working when I put data on them and try them in my other DVD drive or in my mates!!

I also have been unable to select the write speed as anything but 4x even though DVDInfoPro tells me that they are 1, 2 and 4 compatiable!

If anyone has any Ideas, I'm all ears!
