Hi,
I loaded my downloaded game disk(soul calibur) to the wii.It ask me to update my system.Is it alright to upate my wii?
My wii firmware is 3.3j and 1.9s wiikey.I notice that different region disk will brick my wii as I had it happen before.I am lucky to unbrick using unbrick ISO file mention on this forum.Pls give me some advice as I dun want to brick my wii again.Furthermore I load in the some game disk,it can't even read the disk.But I able to play SSBB after I updated my wii firmware and wiikey.Pls help.

um... I am pretty sure you want to make sure it is the same region as your console. (I would assume it is). But it should be ok as long as it is.

In most cases if your updated with most recent update (3.3J is most recent) the worst case should be duplicated weather/news channels. But this is not always the case. You could possibly get a semi-brick or full brick with some titles.

You should be Wii Brick Blocking all out of region games before burning them to disable the update on the disc.

So if this is an out of region game I would Wii brick Block the ISO image and burn again if you still have the ISO. If you don't then use ImgBurn to rip the ISO back to your PC and Wii brick Block it and re-burn it.

Hi all bro above,
Thks for all your advice.I manage to play the game soul calibur(US version).I use one software to stop the disk from updating.I think the name is wiibrickblocker.I burn the disk and it run the game but it will have read disk error very often.With no choice I re-burn the disk with writing speed 2x.Now it working fine.Thks everybody for your help.Sorry to reply lately.
