i burnt a ps2 game( dvd decrypter, 2x write speed, sony dvd-r).
and it was working fine when i closed my ps2 and tried it again it wasnt working no more(playstaion 2 logo comes then a complete blank screen).
the next day i tried it started working when i took my memory card out of the card slot.
then i closed my ps2, now it isnt working even with the memory card out.(i have an original rachet and clank 3 and thats working perfectly, i also have other burnt ps2 games that have a sliver backside, they seem to work but not completely as they are scratched).
is it a problem with the laser or the modchip?
i have a scph-75004(V14)

What type of modchip do you have.

You should also burn your games at 4x and up to 8x,never lower than 4x.

Ok your PS2 is PAL according to the Version you wrote.

Is your TV NTSC then?

There must be a setting in your Modchip for screen fixes, macrovision etc. or no?

no my tv is pal, thats why i need pal games as they run in colour when they work

i have no clue which modchip i have as the modchip just works on its own it doesnt hve any settings that i can change. it starts work when i insert a cd as my ps2 is able to read burnt cds n dvds,
the guy at the shop got it installed from some workshop with whom he is collabarated...

You should try to find out what modchip you have? Perhaps you could ask who installed it? Or take apart your PS2 and look at the mainboard.

Because you should be able to play PAL games seeing your system is PAL

To get NTSC to show proper color on the screen, you will probably need to find a RGB scart cable if your TV supports it.

Unless you are getting a bunch of "DisK REad Errors", I would have to say its the modchip.
And mostly because your PAL games should work, being you have a PAL system.

I can't remember the settings in DVD Decrypter. I use Imgburn, the successor of DVD Decrypter

You could just update to Imgburn and go with the default settings and try once more if you want.
