I would go with a D2Pro9 myself. depending what drive you have either go with a version 2 for DMS/D2A/D2B/D2C/D2C2 drives or a version 3 for D2E drives.

Thanks for the info, The D2CPro Solderless (31 Wire) has already been despatched so it is to late to change my mind. Hopefully the one I choose should be OK

You should also make sure you deffently have a D2C and not a D2C2 drive.

The chipset will say D2C on it no matter if it is a D2C or D2C2 drive.

To verify weather you have a normal D2C drive or D2C2 drive follow the images below...

The first 2 images are 2 cases of D2C2 drives. If the board ID# has AMX in it or it has 2 letters under the board ID# then you have a D2C2 drive.

There is an extra piece of metal on the drive spindle for D2C2 drives.

If you have a D2C2 drive then I don't think the above Modchip will be comaptible.

Your best bet is to open the Wii up and find out. Serial tracking isn't all that reliable.

I am just giving you a heads up at what to look for when you get it open. That way if it is a D2C2 you don't waist your time trying to install a non-compatible Modchip.
