i have just brought a pack of 50 TDK dvd-r and wan to burn a game but when i pput it in it says illgeal disk and doesnt burn the game

i have a NEC DVD RW ND 2510A 2.0A

plzzzzzzz help i really want to play this game and i cant burn it

This is a real waste of time because as soon as it is burned we will be asked why it comes up "insert original disk"... and we can't answer that one XD

It's a pretty old drive, and those 16x TDK disks are some of the worst around... I doubt if the firmware supports them.. my kick-ass ND-3550 struggles with them.. even with the 1Y5 firmware. I had a 55% failure rate with them. Usually they crashed during burning... the ones that managed a complete burn either wouldn't play or were glitchy.

I would look for liggy's possible updated firmware and see if it helps.. tho I still think a game disk is going to be a cd disk not a dvd and the cause of the "illegal disk" problem.
