UPDATE D2PROV9 FROM V2 to V3 VIA DVD/USB?

Hi,

I bought a new wii and it had a D2C chip set so i bought a presoldered D2PROV9 V2 (as rec)on wii clip which works great.

My Friend then wanted a wii so i ordered another chip and clip the same and went to same shop and bought another wii but horror........

It had a D2E chip set!!

My question is can i upgrade firmware with a DVD or do i have buy a USB updated thingy...

Any help greatly appreciated, tahnks

You will need to return the version 2 and get a version 3. The mochip itself is diffrent. You can not convert version 2 to version 3 via firmware update.

Yeah found out a little more apparently you can go V3 to V2 but not the other way round...

Gonna just buy a V3 and keep the V2 for someone else

do you know any links to a guide to use the Dprog USB thingy??
