If you have installed the new firmware you will not need to enter new keys. You done a factory reset after installing the new firmware?
For info on regarding symbol rate and info on how to flash your box click on the eurovox link under my sig.

Great logo by the way. I am an unfortunate Toon supporter. at least Fergie supported KK.

I am new to this stuff so please forgive me for jumping right in. I have the Eurovox ex1000sl type. I followed Hitech's suggestion and found that when I put my box on, having installed the rs232 to usb adapter from MAPLIN and hooked up the leads, that upon switching the box on it didn't display the four lines (----) nor any number to indicate it had previously been flashed. The blue display light went out whilst I installed the new firmware into the box. I presume it installed it into the box because there was no dwnld text shown on the box to verify this. The box must have been recognised by the PC becuase the firmware upgrade completed successfully according to the dialogue box. What do I do now i.e. connect box to tv etc??? Please help so as I am on the right track.

just continue through HiTecks guide, it tells you everything you need to know.
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Cheers man, I hooked up the box to tv etc, did a factory reset, then scanned for channels and found over 200 of them using the frequency stated for my area in hitech's frequency list. I even got a few I never had before. Well done Hitech and the guys working within this forum.

I have added a three point splitter balanced at 6db to my bedroom broadband cable which with the addition of another cable, allows me to receive cable tv and still utilise the broadband which is connected to a router which allows wireless internet connection around the house. This simple splitter meant that I didn't have to tamper with the grey box outside the house. The picture quality is very good but alas I don't get the adult channels that are scrambled.
Now if I want to connect an additional cable running externally up the wall across the roof and into the upstairs bedroom, how do I go about doing this and what do I need to be wary off? Again any assistance is most appreciated.
