I'm a little confused about DVD Shrink.

I read what DVD Shrink does. At first, I thought it compresses videos that are too big to fit on a DVD, whether DVD-5 or DVD-9. I just read it's function and it says that it creates a backup of the videos I put on DVD.

Is it also capable of compressing videos? Or is it only for creating backups?

It's not called DVD Shrink for nothing. It shrinks the files.
BTW you're in the wrong forum. This one is for Nero.

The concept is to get your DVD-9 discs to fit on a DVD-5 disc.
