hi
i have a psp v1.5 and want to upgrade it to 4.01 m33-2
how can i do this?

It is an very easy process.

DOWNLOAD 4.01 m33
* Extract the archive.
* Copy included UPDATE folder to X:/PSP/GAME
* Place the official firmware 4.01 update EBOOT, rename it to 401.PBP, in the newly created UPDATE folder,
PS: official 4.01 firmware download- DOWNLOAD
* Begin installation from the Game menu.
After it's done delete that update from the menu.

now you got 4.01 m33, now install 4.01 m33-2 if you want:

"To install, make sure you have 4.01 M33 installed before proceeding. Download the archive, and copy the "UPDATE" folder to "ms0:/PSP/GAME" and run the application."DOWNLOAD 4.01 m33-2

You sure you can go from 1.50 stright to 4.01 M33?

I thought you had to go to 3.52 M33-4 first then upgrade to 4.01 M33 from there.

HERE is a 1 stop guide that shows you how to update from 1.50 to 3.52 M33-4 then you can update stright to 4.01 M33-2.
