Mod Hitachi 79fl with one SATA hard drive and ICH6 intel

I have couple of questions regarding modding Hitachi 79fl.

I will use unlock 79 program and Maximus - FIRMWARE TOOLBOX V4.8.

I have intel ich6 sata integrated controller will this work?

I have one sata hard drive connect to port 0 of this 4 channel controller and if I connect xbox 360 dvd drive to port 1 will this configuration work?

Any great advice will be much appreciated.
