I have a weird problem and would appreciate any feedback.

The last few days I have been transfering VOB files from my XP Pro SP2 PC to my 8 gig Sony memory stick in my PSP via the USB cable, then uploading them to my PS3's HDD.

Its been working great with any size file, most have been aroung 4 gig's.

Today I went to put a new VOB file on the PSP through the standard Windows explorer [ drag n drop of roughly 4 gig's ] and it said I was out of disc space eventhough the properties show it has roughly 7 gig's free space left.

It shows the same through XP, on the PSP itself and when connected to the PS3 so I know its correct. I have reformatted via XP aswell as through the PSP itself and had no problems there, yet here I am with an empty memory stick confirmed bye all but XP still says it doesnt have enough room.

Anyone have any idea on where to go from here ?

I dont have a card reader to try but I shouldnt really need one either. Im thinking this has to be a Window's problem but figured maybe someone else may have run across this before.

Im wondering if Windows stashed some hidden files on there or never actually deleted the previous files, but I would think formatting should have taken care of that.

Thanks again for any help you guys can give : )

Couldnt edit the above....

I just realized after fooling with this more that it will transfer any file upto about 4.4 gig's in size upto its capacity of 8 gig's

Also its a newer DUO-2 stick if that helps.

Im thinking this has to be some sort of Windows size limit type of thing, but I was transfering 6 gig files earlier with no such issues so I have no idea.

Try using swissknife to reformat as a last resort - I had the same issue with a micro sd card and it worked fine, although I'm not sure of the results with a pro duo.
