need help with playstation slimline console not spinning disks when case is on

hi i was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me i have a playstation 2 slimline and it wouldn't read games or anything just kept taking me to the browser menu anyway i took the case off and it spins fine now and plays games and i was just wondering if anyone knew how i could still get it to play games with the case on or why it won't play games or spin while i have the case on thanks in advance hugs lluscious

Had it just started doing this, or had you installed a fliptop on your slim.
If its the latter, then perhaps you just didn't have it fitted properly.

hi thanks for your reply no my son dropped it and it started doing it so yesterday i thought i would take it apart and have a look at it and i noticed once i had the case off the disk would spin perfectly and play game perfectly but when i put the case back on it started spinning really slow and when to the browser screen again this one really has me stumped hugs lluscious

Ok then it could just be something came out of place or was damaged when it dropped.
Have you since tried to put the case back on and see if it will work again.
