My PSP keeps powering down.

I am trying to downgrade to 1.5 from 3.5. I start the downgrader and the screen says "Extracting special prx's from pbp..." and then powers down. It doesn't reset it just powers down. I am really new at all of this and if I offend someone I am sorry.
