(Fat PS2)
I was cleaning inside my PS2 today, and I got to under teh CD Tray. I lifted it up, and god damnit, I lifted it too high, and one of the little white ribbons under it got pulled out of the top of the CD Tray. That time I was thinking oh shit, I hope it works. I rescrew everything, and plug it in. to my dismay, I turned it on and the lights didn't come on, and it didn't turn on. I was wondering, could I fix that myself, or would I have to get it proffesionally repaired? If so, how much would that cost?

Yes you can fix it yourself if you are inclined too.
If the ribbon came out you will need to insert it back in again.
There is a guide here that could help you for FAT PS2 and one here.
I really have no idea what it would cost professionally to have it done, as I just fix my own.
If you have someone locally that can look at it, then probably not too bad, but if you have to ship it and pay to ship back , can get expensive.

The second guide, I don't see anything about my cables. For some odd reason, my download speed i 10 kb/s so I can't wait 14 hours for it to download. (My brother is getting here in an hour, and he really needs to use the PS2)

The second guide just basically shows more pictures of inside the PS2 and has other info.
The download of the first guide should not take long as its only 815 kb.
Only took me like 10 seconds to download.

My power and eject buttons aren't in the top case. I just need to know, where to put the cable closet to the back on the top part, I can't find a slot for it.

Ok glad you got it fixed..
To know your version of PS2, just go to Browser when your PS2 starts up without disc in.
Press Triangle button on controller.
Or look at the back of your PS2 for the SCPH XXXXX number.
