Hey guys I'm having trouble connecting my 360 to Xbox Live. I test my xbox live connectivity on my 360, the network adapter is working fine but I keep failing in the IP Address test. I followed the instructions in xbox.com/support but the advise they give has not help at all. I'm using a modem and router connection, I can use the internet on my laptop just fine. My router is a Belkin Wireless G Router. Please help!

It's weird that you have a class a network address, with a class B subnet address.
You did say you were behind a router, so you should be pulling your typical 192.168..... private address, not some external ip.
Basically, look for settings in your router (you will have to log into it) to see how it assigns IP addresses. Make sure you have dhcp enabled. Just look for that setting...
let me know if that works, or what else happens...
You can also try to switch to router to a DMZ. That option should somewhere in the settings menu once you get into the modem settings. I couldnt login live either,....tried that..I was in!
DHCP is enabled, it says so in my network details.
But I think it is something to do with my IP Address im not sure, one time I was able to login to xbox live but my laptop wasn't switched on. When I tried to connect to the internet on my laptop it wouldn't let me. The same thing happened when I turned on my laptop first, I couldn't login to Xbox Live. I'm stuck at the moment.
I also cannot connect to my router settings, I've tried typing my gateway to access it (am I right?) but I get refused everytime.
Most Belkin routers have the internal address of 192.168.2.1 so try that and see if it'll let you into your router.
My guess to why you can only connect one device at a time (which is basically like not having a router at all) is because the router is set to be an Access Point and not a Router.
