TY 8x DVD -R won't back up games!

Got a new batch of TY DVDs (8x silvers) and burn/playback of movies is fine. Now Wii game backups don't play (DRE) but my old Wii back ups play still just fine (not a console/modchip problem).

I tried burning at 1x, 2-2.4x, 4x (always used 2-2.4x before with no problems)... Media ID and hub code look correct (hub code letters are printed reversed-I don't recall if that is correct-could it be funky media?

DVDInfoPro read test on burned DVD has no read errors ...

What is a poor boy to do?

Hmmm.....
Burned at 8x and get mostly working....a few times I need to eject and reinsert to continue. Funny, usually have no problems with 4x or 2-2.4x burns.

Can't figure out if the media is fake-expect not otherwise 8x burns would not work very well.

Usually burning slower always gives better burns but not with this setup ...

So, used a cheapy Maxell dvd cleaner on the burner and all is good now ...
