I have a corrupted harddrive. System works fine without the harddrive, so can I swap out the harddrive to fix the problem?

Are you asking if you can swap out the hard drive that's currently inside your hard drive shell?
Yes with some work and money.

Or

Are you asking if you can just toss away that hard drive all together and get another retail hard drive and use it?
Yes with some money.
