So I have been getting .iso's from the net and while the .rar files state that they are NTSC when I grab them I have been using RegionFrii to make certain they are. If they are not then I patch them. Then I run WiiBrickBlocker on them to remove any update code. Am I doing something wrong here because many of them will not play. Battalion Wars 2 gave me a title screen, only in the disc channel, but it froze my Wii when I started it. Can someone please advise on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

i thought that regionfrii was only to make ntsc games play on pal units. it sounds like you have a ntsc unit though. Have you tried running the game without patching it first.. and then only patching it if it asks you for an update? also, how are you burning them and on what media? are you having problems with pal, ntsc or both?

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.

Yes, I have an NTSC unit :) I have not tried just burning it 1st to avoid making a coaster. (I guess I shouldn't be so conservative) I am using Imgburner at 4x to burn on Ritek G05 DVD-R's.
