Crisis with crisis core!

Hi, my problem is that i have compressed ff7 crisis core to a .cso file but it will not play. My brother installed some custom firmware a while back and so far it has worked with other games. When i select it and play i get the infamous 'error 80020148' my system control thing says i have software 3.03 OE-c. I would like to know what settings to put on the recovery menu (i know how to get 2 it) so my annoying game will play!!!

I think your cfw needs to be higher.
If I had to guess I would think you would need to be on at least 3.71m33 cfw.

Yeh i suppose, I am a complete newb with these things so how will i make my PSP 3.73??? and will i still be able 2 play .cso files???

You need can the files from here, since DAX's site is on standby, and follow the readme files. You'll need the official sony updates too just google search for the "firmware number" and "eboot" example "3.40 ebbot" and you should be able to find what you need unless someone else can give some better links.
Since you are on a lower version firmware you probably need to do it in steps.
So if it was me I'd get it up to 3.40OE then up it to 3.52m33 then go to 3.71m33 and see if your psp will play FF7. If not then up it again, the latest is 4.01m33-2.
If that doesn't work them perhaps you compressed the .iso too much and should try to red it.

for the 3.40 update it says get a 1.50 firmware update the one i found was eboot 1.50 will that be ok or will it mess up???

yeh hi again,
when i use the update from the PSP menu (ive alrdy made the data file) it comes up with error and some numbers. do u know why this has happened??

lol dont worry i fixed it. on the recovery menu the kernel thing was set 2 3.03 so i turned it 2 1.50
