Hey Guys,
I finally was able to flash my MS28 Samsung. But now i have an issue.
Let me start from the beinning. I recently bought a xbox 360 refurb from BUY.COM. I installed the iprep firmware for my samsung and was able to play my original games. Since I dont have a drive to read my originals i decided to download the Star Wars Force. and i burnt the dvd. I began to play. the intro started and then when vader comes out of the star ship. I got a red and black checker grid. I had to reboot and then i got the. ring of death I have played around with rebooting and holding the sync button and sometimes it boots up to the same red and black checker board with the xbox logo.
My questions are:
1. Did I cause this by my firmware update?
2. Could it have been the downloaded game?
3. I was thinking of getting the xbox arcade but since there are no firmware hacks i am staying away. Not sure what i should do.
I got the status which is the 0102 (the xbox has no idea what happen error)

You said your xbox has been refurbed, has it had the xclamp fix done, that error code is the code you get when gpu is overheating

What you describe has nothing to do with flashing the drive. You obviously did it right or it wouldn't have played your burnt game.

You have other issues. You got a refurb that wasn't fixed right. It needs fixed again. It more than likely needs the thermal paste changed and the xclamp fix.

If you were careful and still have the warranty sticker, I'd just try to return it. If not, good luck. There are fixes all over this site and elsewhere.
