First of all, I hope that I'm saying this in the correct forum.

Second, after many weeks of trying a lot of different things and failing, my psp can do just about nothing.

I used a Pandora and changed it to original (non CFW) 3.71 firmware, and asked Play N Trade to attempt a repair. They couldn't get anything to work so they told me that I would probably have to send it to Sony.

The thing is, I'd be willing to do this, but I don't know if Sony has any way of knowing that I've had CFW which could lead into me getting into trouble. I would assume that leaving my psp with original 3.71 firmware means that there should be no way to say that I've CFW'd it before, but I wouldn't know.

Does anybody have anything to tell me before I send it in? Whatever prevents me from getting in trouble please.

as far as i cant tell from hacking my own psp it only says if what firmware you currently have on it so you SHOULD be fine if you have OF on it but sony has alot more money than i do and prolly has much much better recourses than me so you never really know

That's what I was thinking as well, but I want to be sure, just in case. Did anyone happen to send in their psp before? And or does somebody else have any knowledge on this?

Well ... I know that if Sony finds out you were using custom firmware, it will break the warranty.

Most Likely, if it work. Just say you were trying to update the psp but the battery ran out, or something like that.
