Bought Nero 8. Downloaded movies form Limewire. Used Nero Vision to burn the DVD only to find out the file was too big. Afterdawn help suggested DVD Shrink. Went to download and paid $40. Cannot find the damed download with paying again. Can anyone help

just click on the underlined word dvdshrink and it will take you to the download site. Incidentally dvdshrink 3.2 is freeware, it's obsolete at ripping the newer movies but still works great at shrinking oversize unprotected video files.

I have DVD Shrink 3.2. However, when I tried to "rip" the movie that was in AVI format, I could open the file in DVD shrink to begin the process. What do I have to do with the movie that is currently sitting in Limewire/Music with an AVI extention to convert such that I can use DVD shrink to compress it on to the a DVD R?

If the movie is in avi format, then you can use the free dvdflick to convert it to dvd. (dvdshrink is not needed). Dvdflick will produce a file that will fit inside a blank dvd.

Dvdshrink is only for shrinking video files that are inside a video_ts folder.

Jony218.
Jony,

I am so frustrated at this point I could die. I just went to DVDFlick to download it. Freeware right? The site just keeps me spinning between two screens. Several buttons labeled download DVDFlick but none are working.

Please help me?

Jony 218,
Thanks for you help with DVDFlick. Now hopefully only one more question. I have downloaded files from Limewire. They are in AVI format. Using DVDFlick, can you outline the specific steps that I need to go through to copy the AVI movies to DVD such that I can save it and use it as a template going forward.

You don't 'compress' anything. Any of these free apps will produce a <4.38GB file for DVD burning.

DVD Flick
FAVC (better encoder/results, HCenc)
AVStoDVD, also with HCenc.
