Panasonic and Hitachi join up for HDTV production

Hitachi announced on Thursday that among other changes to its HDTV production line, it will be teaming up with Panasonic to develop "next-generation LCD and plasma HDTVs that are thinner, more efficient and distinct from their competition." Would be nice if some of these companies would reduce their price because @ this point HDTV's are still out of reach of allot of people. So I think working on "higher-end" HDTV's may not necessarily be the answer to gaining profits.
